Northern VA Real Estate Success Helps Me Give Back to Our Community
Buying and selling real estate in Northern Virginia is a wonderful career and it is truly a pleasure to work with you. While I am thrilled to help you close on great real estate deals, I’m even more grateful that being successful with you in our local real estate market gives me the chance to contribute to a worthy cause: kids struggling to beat cancer in our community. I am truly humbled to help these young heroes through The Sunshine Kids Foundation, a non-profit helping kids with cancer stay positive as they fight to conquer cancer.
Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. (now Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices) adopted The Sunshine Kids Foundation as a part of it’s commitment to social responsibility in 1991. I have been actively involved with this effort since 2009., and have had an amazing time helping support events events and activities like:
- Hosting 5K runs (3 times)
- Gainesville Family Fun Run to benefit
- Spend time with kids and medical teams every May during their national DC trip every year we visit the White House, national monuments and spend the day at DEA facility shooting guns and blowing up gummy bears
“BHHS Friends Send Off” for 2015 Sunshine Kids Mardi Gras Fun – Time Fantasy
Today, February 3, 2015, I will proudly join host the TSKF kids, families and medical staff from our area leaving for Mardi Gras Fun-Time Fantasy from Reagan Airport. With a DJ, food and activities…it’s going to be a send-off they will not forget! And I am so excited that during their time away, from February 3-9, 2015, these young fighters will be able to put their worries behind them for a little while as they take part in fun activities like: exploring the unique New Orleans sights and sounds as they walk down Bourbon Street, fishing in Louisiana swamps and attending their very own Mardi Gras ball.
This event, including transportation, lodging, activities and food is FREE of CHARGE for the kids and attending medical staff!!
